So, I first would like to say that this was a very good movie. While watching it I realized I was watching the highest rated movie in IMDb. It definitely deserved that rank. I was hooked right from the beginning.
I will put an disclaimer for anybody who wants to see it that it being a rated R movie there is vulgar language, violence and showing of alcoholic beverages. Also there is a scene where there might be nudity but from what I can remember I think the most you'll see is some guys butts.
The main plot of this movie is about a banker, Andy, who goes to prison because he is accused of killing his wife. He meets a guy named Red and they become best friends.
This movie had the right amount of everything without having too much of something. It had comedy, drama, action.
When watching this movie it made me think. One of the things I thought about is that life can change on the outside world when you're locked up for so long in an enclosed space. You also can feel so out of place that you'd rather go back to your enclosed space because that's all that you know and feel comfortable with. The movie explains that if you have hope then the outside world isn't too bad.
This is a movie that I would recommend any adult to see. Even if you think you might not like this movie or it's not your cup of tea I believe you'll still enjoy it by the time you finish watching the film.
